They are in growth mode and have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join their unique, award-winning culture and thriving team at their head office in the heart of South Surrey.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire organization’s ongoing operations and procedures at their head office and assist with the strategy and implementation of their expansion to the US. Previous experience in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial environment is preferred. 

You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of our business.

The COO will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer. In this hands on role, you will lead and maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced, strategic, and effective leader. COO Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Establishing policies that align with our Core Values and Vivid Vision
  • Overseeing operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, etc.)

Additional Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience; MSc/MBA will be a plus

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or similar role
  • Understanding of different business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Experience in fundraising will be a plus
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
