Our client, Sycorp Environmental Inc. (www.sycorp.ca) is looking for a dedicated and dependable Account Representative to join their growing team in Richmond, BC.

Since 2001, Sycorp has been servicing contractors with their restoration, abatement, carpet cleaning and safety needs such as; respiratory protection, fall protection, personal safety, hand protection, face protection, containment, safety supplies, and industrial safety supplies.

As a key member of this small but efficient team, the ideal candidate will have a background in account management/customer service and sales, with preference to those with experience in restoration, abatement, safety or rental supply. You are outgoing, professional and demonstrate a high level of customer service, providing clients with product knowledge and services. Working in collaboration with other members of the local team, this role has minimal amount of supervision, but will require the candidate to build customer relationships in order to provide sales support and account retention.  We anticipate this position to be in the office most of the time, with about 40% of your time on the road. Use of a company vehicle is provided for trips from the office.

Hours:  Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Some on call after hours may be required to support emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for account management/sales support (customer service, delivery, up sale) to all customer groups.
  • Promotion of Sycorp products to commercial, residential and dealer markets in the assigned territory.
  • Increase sales to existing client by gaining a thorough knowledge of products and customer relationships so that overall sales goals and profitability levels are achieved.
  • Use company-supplied information and market intelligence to track and follow up on significant opportunities.
  • In conjunction with management, prepare presentations and proposals for external and prospective customers; emphasize service or product features and benefits, discuss credit terms, quote prices, and prepare sales order reports.
  • Follow up with new customers on service delivery, quality and satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns as required.
  • Maintaining and updating of customer accounts including contact names for future sales.
  • Participation in other business development responsibilities, including association membership and involvement, tradeshows, site issues, education, and any other sales related tasks as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of direct sales support/customer service/sales experience, with a focus on client retention and service.
  • B2B customer service/sales experience within construction, restoration, abatement or safety supplies sales would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of industry products, practices and standards.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to navigate through a Customer Relationship Management platform.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to communicate confidently.
  • Strong ability to multi task with excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Present a professional image to the Company’s customers and suppliers maintaining the highest ethical standard of conduct.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
