Marketing Director

Our client, Make Your Mark Training and Consulting (www.mymsuccess.com), is growing and is looking for an experienced Marketing Director AKA CGO (Chief Growth Officer) who is passionate about their profession and has great knowledge of all things marketing. They can balance a practical mindset with a creative business acumen and lead people through complex marketing operations.

Make Your Mark is a fast-paced, growing company in the heart of South Surrey, and they’re looking for a full-time, experienced, strategic CGO to join their thriving team! The successful candidate will oversee the entire company marketing strategy across Canada and with the anticipated expansion to the US, will create a cohesive unit between the three legs of the marketing department: digital, speaking engagements, and our world-class referral program.

We’re not looking to train someone in marketing – we’re looking for someone exceptional who comes with years of experience, and who understands the nuances of working with a multi-dimensional team. Key Responsibilities:

  • “Listening” to the trends of the market and directing the market research efforts of the company
  • Liaising with other departments to guide a unified customer experience across all touchpoints of the company
  • Defining marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives

Additional Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop an overall marketing strategy for the company and oversee its day-to-day implementation
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications, etc.) and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  • Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, collateral, referrals, leverage activities, etc.)
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
  • Create a solid network of strategic partnerships

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience; MSc/MA will be a plus
  • Experience in Infusionsoft an asset
  • Certification in Google analytics an asset

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Director similar role
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of marketing research and data analysis methods
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (i.e. social media) and non-digital (i.e. PR) channels
  • Understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office and business software (i.e. CRM)
  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities)
